Henry Kim

Managing Partner

With over 25 years of aviation experience in both the commercial and private sector, Henry has established himself as an aviation veteran due to his extensive experience and insight catering to the Ultra High Net Worth community and Fortune 1000 companies.  Prior to founding Rare Air Aviation, he has held numerous executive leadership roles at some of the most prominent private aviation firms:

  • Chief Commercial Officer - Jet It

  • Director of Sales - Bombardier

  • Executive Vice President and Head of Sales - Wheels Up

  • Senior Vice President of Sales - NetJets

  • Director of Sales – Flexjet

His industry insight and opinions on catering to the Ultra High Net Worth community are valued and he has appeared on a number of luxury speaking panels and has been quoted in both Forbes and Robb Report. He has personally been involved in putting together several key partnerships and strategic alliances with other luxury providers including Mercedes AMG, Core Club, Tiger 21 and Tour Golf. Henry is a former Board Member for the U.S. Lacrosse Foundation, which is the national governing body for men’s and women’s lacrosse. He has also done volunteer work and served on an advisory panel for the Doc to Dock Foundation, whose primary mission is to collect and redistribute unused medical supplies to hospitals in the developing world. Henry holds a bachelors degree from Fairfield University and is a former Division 1 Lacrosse Letterman. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and identical twin boys, who played lacrosse for Syracuse and Rutgers.    

Duncan Jones

Managing Partner

With over two decades of experience in the aviation industry, Duncan brings a wealth of expertise to his clients, specializing in aircraft acquisition and sales. His aviation career has encompassed a wide range of roles, including new and pre-owned whole aircraft sales, fractional aircraft sales, and the creation of several successful companies. As a pilot with approximately 4,000 flight hours, Duncan has been qualified as both a charter and fractional pilot, having flown most of the aircraft he has sold.

Duncan's extensive involvement in the aviation industry spans across various facets, from handling hundreds of aircraft sales transactions to holding executive management and founder positions. As an aircraft owner himself, he has experienced all sides of aircraft transactions, from OEM deliveries and new aircraft acceptance to selling pre-owned aircraft and personally overseeing the purchase of pre-owned aircraft for clients. Duncan's deep understanding of the intricacies of both domestic and international aircraft exporting and importing is a result of his hands-on experience. This wealth of experience has been gained through his dedicated work with industry professionals in various key roles:

  • Vice President of Sales and Captain - Jet It

  • Founder and CEO - Aircraft Intelligence, LLC

  • Executive Sales Director - Elliott Jets

  • Aircraft Sales Manager - Atlantic Aero, Inc (Greenwich Aerospace Co.)

  • Sales Manager - Columbia Atlantic/Southeast/Resale (Independent Aircraft Dealerships)

  • Producer at Senn Dunn Marsh & Roland and Delta Financial

  • Program Director in Summer Adventure Programs

Duncan graduated from North Carolina State University with a BA in Communications and also participated in the London School of Economics semester abroad program.

Beyond his aviation career, Duncan leads an active lifestyle with his wife and three grown children. He continues to pursue his passions for diving and sailing, having earned certifications such as PADI Master SCUBA Instructor, USCG 100 Ton Master Captain's License, Eagle Scout, and Ironman Triathlete.
